What We Changed for Launch
Elemixies launched on September 26. Here's everything we changed between our last update and launch day.
A Tutorial for the Whole Game
Every new player starts with a guided tutorial of 11 tasks. A banner in the top left shows your step, and an arrow points the way. Ember, Bramble, Coral, Shade, and Zephyr each send you to catch one Elemixie of their element, and it appears just for you, close by. Zephyr's Gustling waits on the sky islands, so you ride the cyclone up and tap RECALL to come home.
Alp at the shop teaches merging and mixing. Then Morgan, Alexis, Mera, and Lillibelle start your first forage, dojo session, arena battle, and bond camp adventure. Seven tasks pay 50 coins and 10 player XP each, and finishing earns the Teacher's Pet badge. The elders' daily quests start at the next daily reset. The getting started guide walks through every step.
Collection Score
Collection Power is now collection score, and it measures the play that went into each Elemixie. Catching adds a little. A fresh common scores 0.1 and a fresh mythic 19.8. Merging and mixing keep everything that went in, and training adds the most: a fully trained 5-star Elemixie scores about 2,500 to 2,700 whatever its rarity.
The Collection Score board in the meadow ranks everyone's total. Each Elemixie's details show its score, and the round "i" beside it explains the score and the five stats. The stats page has the details.
Mixing Keeps Your Stars
A mix used to take the lower parent's stars, so a 5-star and a 1-star made a 1-star Elemixie. Both parents now need the same stars, and the child keeps them. The picker's title names the stars you need. If one parent has more Elemixies merged into it, the confirm screen warns you before the extras are lost.
Return to the Wild Pays for Training
Catching Elemixies just to release them paid too well. Releases now pay mostly for training. A fresh common pays a quarter of a coin. Every 100 XP an Elemixie has earned pays 8 coins, and a fully raised Elemixie pays over 5,000. The game adds up everything you release at once and rounds down, so release spares in a bunch. The Return to the Wild page has the full table.
Trade Warnings
The trade warning now weighs each Elemixie by the minutes of play it stands for. It asks before you give away something rarer than you get, or far more than you get. It never blocks a trade.
The Daily Reset
The daily reset now comes overnight wherever you live, so an evening session never gets cut in half. Your login reward, the elder quests, the daily coin cap, and the VIP daily egg all reset together.
Player Levels
One of our playtesters reached level 34 in two and a half hours, which was far too fast. Your first few levels still come quickly, and the ones after take longer, so reaching level 50 for the Elemixie Master badge takes real time.
Smaller Things
You can merge up to 30 Elemixies at once and jump several stars in one go. Merge toasts are shorter too, like "2 more to 5★!"
Elemixies no longer have roles. Every Elemixie's stats come from its rarity and level.
Tap RECALL while sitting and you stand up before it charges. Stepping onto a VIP boat no longer sits you down right away. And while an egg hatches, you and the camera hold still for the reveal.
See you in the meadow.
