Return to the Wild
When your backpack fills up, you can return Elemixies to the wild for coins. The payout is mostly for training: a fresh common pays a quarter of a coin, and a trained companion pays a lot.
How It Works
- Find the Return to the Wild spot in the meadow and open the prompt.
- Pick as many Elemixies as you like. The header shows the coins you'll get as you select. Busy Elemixies (foraging, training, battling, mixing, trading) don't appear.
- Press Release and confirm. The confirmation shows the count and the coins, or tells you when the release pays 0 coins, and warns you if anything high-value is selected: a legendary, a mythic, a 5-star, or any Elemixie at level 30 or above.
Releasing can't be undone. A locked Elemixie asks to be unlocked first, you can never release your very last Elemixie, and your Elemixpedia discovery is forever no matter what you release. The portal opens once you finish the tutorial.
What You Get
Every rarity has a value range, in coins. Base Value is what a brand-new catch is worth: level 1, no merges. Max Value is what a fully raised Elemixie is worth: level 50, 5 stars.
| Rarity | Base Value | Max Value |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 0.25 | 5,029 |
| Uncommon | 0.5 | 5,031 |
| Rare | 1 | 5,035 |
| Epic | 2 | 5,038 |
| Legendary | 5 | 5,052 |
| Mythic | 67 | 5,357 |
A payout has two parts:
- Training pays the most. Every 100 XP an Elemixie has earned pays 8 coins. Each level takes more XP than the last, so each level pays more, and a fully raised Elemixie pays over 5,000 coins whatever its rarity.
- Every copy pays its base value. An Elemixie pays once for itself and again for every duplicate merged into it, so a 5-star common pays for 29. A mixed Elemixie pays double for its copies, since each one took two parents.
The game pays whole coins. It adds up the exact value of everything you release at once and rounds down, so any fraction is lost. Four fresh commons make 1 coin, and three pay nothing. Release spares in a bunch, not one or two at a time.
Releasing fresh catches frees up space but pays little. Releasing something you raised is a real payday, so think twice.
Worth Knowing
- Release coins never count against the daily coin cap. They also skip the Elemixies+ coin bonus.
- Releasing an Elemixie from your following team dismisses it first, automatically.
- Bulk releases are all-or-nothing: if one pick fails a check, nothing is released.
- Not sure whether to merge or release a duplicate? Merge a fresh one. A merged copy still pays its base value if you release the Elemixie later, and merging builds the stars that raise its level cap. A trained duplicate is different: XP past the new level cap is lost in a merge, so check before you merge it. Release duplicates when you need the space.
